Courage

Girl, there’s nothing wrong if you shed those tears
You are only human
And as strong as you aim to be
You also feel hurt, you feel pain
But try not to cry for too long
Don’t sit in a corner and stay
Cry, and when you’re done
When the last drop of tear has fallen
Wipe your face clean
Give some space for your beautiful smile to re-appear
Remember that life will continue to throw more mountains at you
All riddled with sharp edges
That can wound and scar you yet again
But there will be sunrises and sunsets on the beach, too
Those that you can bask on until countless stars take over
Those tears will not be for ever
Soon, smiles will adorn your face from hereon
Forward.

*A note to myself.

I 'write' in the shower, like any normal person.
